Isaiah 4:5 KJB
This verse happens to be about how Christ will use His fiery wrath against evil to guard His people in Jerusalem from the influence of sin and evil during His thousand-year reign on earth. God used His fiery wrath to protect His people from the Egyptian army and to guard them as they wandered in the desert for forty years. Christ will use His fiery wrath against evil to purge the people of Jerusalem of all their sins and evil. Isaiah 4:3-4 (KJB).
God gave the sin offering to Adam and Eve and the Israelites to symbolize that He can purge sins and evil by the use of His own shed blood on the cross. Genesis 3:20-21 (KJB). But God also gave the burnt offering to Noah and the Israelites to symbolize that He can also use His fiery wrath to purge sins and evil. Genesis 8:20-21; Leviticus 5:10 (KJB). Jesus accomplished the sin offering when He shed His blood and water on the cross to wash away the sins and evil of all His living humans who would become saved by His grace. The Holy Spirit accomplished the burnt offering when He descended into a burning Hell to leave behind there all of the sins and evil of the rest of humanity that Jesus bore on the cross. Psalm 16:9-11; Acts 2:25-31; I John 2:2; I Timothy 4:10 (KJB).
During His millennial reign, Christ will rule the world from Jerusalem. The world will know that Jesus reigns, and that knowledge will keep most of them from sins and evil. Christ will use His fiery wrath to purge the people of Jerusalem to purify His capitol and to just give a special blessing to the people of Jerusalem. Satan will be bound in the bottomless pit for the thousand-year reign of Christ, but sin and evil will still have an influence in the world because many demons will still be loose in the world. Revelation 20:1-3 (KJB). Toward the end of the thousand-year reign of Christ, the influence of evil will finally cause an evil army to form in rebellion to Christ's rule. Christ will allow Satan to be loosed from his prison to lead this evil army against Jerusalem. Christ will allow Satan to lead this evil army so that Christ will be able to utterly destroy all sins and evil with one mighty fiery blast. Revelation 20:7-10 (KJB). But Christ will go even further than this. Christ will then use His fiery wrath to thoroughly purge all vestiges of sins and evil from His entire creation so that He can recreate it all to be righteous, including all of His living humans whom He created in His image because He will have visited them "on the earth, and under the earth," and He will have caused them to repent and return to faith in Him so that He will be able to recreate them all to be righteous. God's purge of all sins, evil, and the Devil from His entire creation requires terrible suffering on His part, and it requires very complicated and special moves by God as in a chess game. For this reason, God often in the Old Testament had whole evil nations extinguished because the cancer of them had to be removed. John 5:24; Revelation 5:11-14; II Peter 3:9-13; Revelation 20:11-15; Revelation 20:5; Revelation 21:1-5; Revelation 22:11-12; Philippians 2:9-11; I Timothy 4:10 (KJB).
