Psalm 83:13-15 KJB
God has chosen the Jews to be His special people in the world. Over the centuries, most Jews have become faithless and even some have become atheists. But God has always had a remnant of Jews who have been loyal and faithful to God despite being the most hated and persecuted people in the history of the world. God creates humans to be good and creative and to retain some faith in Him. Genesis 1:31; Genesis 1:26-27 (KJB). That inner goodness in all humans can never be destroyed. Ecclesiastes 3:14 (KJB). All faithful Jews symbolize that good and creative nature that evil can never destroy. Psalm 111:7-8 (KJB).
As the Bible relates, in the course of history, the Jews have often been surrounded by enemies that seek to genocide them. These enemies of the Jews are also the enemies of God. These enemies of the Jews and God have become influenced by the Devil to attempt to crush all goodness and faith from the world. Satan seeks to utterly destroy all of the good creations of God and take full control of the world. Job 1:11-12; Job 2:5-6; Job 2:9-10; Psalm 83:1-12 (KJB). Satan's attitude toward Job reflects his attitude toward the entire human race.
But God will eventually burn the Devil and all evil like stubble in the wind. God's fire may burn the forest on the mountain but not the mountain itself. God will burn all evil with a tempest and a fiery storm. Genesis 83:13-15 (KJB). In His Word, God often refers to sin and evil as being like chaff, stubble, thorns, and tares that will be burned, but He will preserve the wheat which symbolizes the goodness that He creates humans to be. Matthew 13:24-30; Matthew 13:36-43; Luke 3:16-17; I Corinthians 3:11-15; Isaiah 5:24; Isaiah 10:16-17; Psalm 36:6 (KJB). Jesus was crowned with thorns to symbolize that sin and evil had to be pressed into His perfect body by force. Mark 15:17 (KJB).
The Psalmist then reveals God's purpose for burning the sin and evil that resides in the inner natures of all humans. God will make them ashamed of themselves so that they will repent and seek to be reconciled with God. God will cause their shameful natures to utterly perish. But all humans will eventually repent and return to faith in God as being their Savior and the true ruler of the earth. Psalm 83:16-18 (KJB).
The Psalmist prophesied that one day in the future Christ will visit all of His living humans "on the earth, and under the earth" who were never saved by His grace, and He will cause them all to repent and return to faith in Him as their Savior so that He can use His fiery wrath against evil to dissolve their beings to separate their good and living natures from their dead and evil natures so that He can save and recreate their living natures with new bodies to live forever on His recreated earth, and He will cast their dead and evil natures into the eternal lake of fire. Revelation 5:11-14; II Peter 3:9-13; Revelation 20:5; Revelation 20:11-15; Revelation 21:1-5; Revelation 22:11-12; John 5:28-29 (KJB).
